Release of abducted kids: Speakers congratulate Kogi colleague

The Conference of Speakers has expressed happiness over release of the kidnapped children of the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Lawal Jimoh. The abducted children regained their freedom at the weekend. In a statement signed by the Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures, Sam Ikon, the forum commended the professionalism of the security agencies for working round the clock to ensure the safe release of the children. The forum, which also thanked the government and the people of Kogi State for their support, solicited the support and cooperation of Nigerians for President Goodluck Jonathan in the task of fighting insurgency and kidnapping bedevilling the nation. It pledged its support and indeed, the support of the state lawmakers in the country to Mr. President in his fight against the menace.
